Workshop with Matti Hämäläinen our Senior Adviser

Matti Hämäläinen is the Senior Advisor of Heaven Solutions. He arrived from Finland to our office in Iasi, Romania. Matti brought a new business perspective on the plans and started, alongside Cristi Micliuc (CEO) and Heaven Solutions’ Team, to lay the foundations of a new initiative.

With over 40 years of experience in academia and the industry, Matti helps us to better understand the challenges and complexity of the research field.

Throughout his career, Matti involved in developing international education, research projects, and networks. By linking universities, industry, government entities, and NGOs for studying, he contributed to developing solutions to joint challenges.

We visited the High School of Computer Science (LIIS) where we met the CyLiis and Peppers teams that impressed Matti with the robots they built.
The students talked about their experience in international competitions and showed him their portfolio of achievements, built with the support and implication of Heaven Solutions.

First time in Romania

This visit to Romania marked Matti’s first experience in the country. However, upon reaching his destination, he was pleasantly surprised by the city’s charm. What resonated with him the most were the people – their blend of enthusiasm and professionalism left a strong impression. Additionally, Matti found the diverse range of projects, particularly those involving medical devices and other sectors, highly interesting. The emphasis on work quality and the ability to swiftly explore new opportunities greatly appealed to him and stood out as significant aspects of his visit.

What specifically impressed Matti?

The primary focus was on intensive business discussions aimed at achieving alignment. Various complex topics were explored, and the collective effort led to a cohesive understanding of the path forward. Matti was notably impressed by the professionalism demonstrated throughout this process. The efficiency in transitioning from planning to execution, enabling swift progress, closely resonated with his preferences and left a lasting impression.
